These terms are an agreement between you and Aridya Technologies ("we", "us"), Doddanekundi, Bangalore, India 560037, for your use of the Sheen app for Android and the services behind it. By installing or using Sheen you accept them. If you don't, please don't use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.
The short version
- Today the camera, beauty, makeup, filters, lenses and editor are free, with no watermark, no ads and no subscription.
- Only cloud AI tools use credits. Credit packs are one-time Google Play purchases; credits you buy never expire, and an AI edit that fails gives its credits back.
- You need no account to use Sheen. To buy credits, use an AI tool that costs credits or redeem a code, you sign in with Google, so your credits follow your Google account to any phone.
- We may add a subscription or ads later. If we do, we tell you first, they are explained here before they start, and they never take away credits you bought.
- Your photos stay yours. Upload only photos you have the right to use, and never use Sheen to deceive, harass or harm anyone.
- AR lenses from Snap's Camera Kit follow Snap's terms, which the app shows you first, and are never locked behind a payment.

01Using Sheen
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use Sheen on Android devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, under these terms. You may not copy, modify, sell or redistribute the app, reverse-engineer it except where the law allows, interfere with its services, or try to get around its limits, credits, payments or security.
02Who can use Sheen
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age for digital services in your country if that is higher. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), use Sheen and make purchases only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms for you and is responsible for your purchases.
03What is free
Today every camera feature is free: the camera, beauty, makeup, filters, lenses, the editor, removing a background on your phone, and saving your photos, with no watermark. New filters and lenses can arrive without an app update. We may add, change or remove features over time, and in a future version some new or existing features may become part of a paid subscription (Section 5). If that happens we will tell you in advance, and AR lenses from Snap's Camera Kit will stay free.
04AI credits
- What they are. Credits let you use the cloud AI tools (such as Magic Eraser, AI Retouch, AI Enhance, AI Background, AI Generate and the upscales). They are a licence to use those tools, not money: they have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged, and can only be used in Sheen.
- Signing in. Before you buy credits, start an AI tool that costs credits or redeem a code, the app asks you to sign in with your Google account. Everything else in Sheen works without signing in.
- Buying. Credit packs are one-time purchases made through Google Play, at the price Google Play shows, including any taxes. Nothing renews. Payment and receipts are handled by Google Play under its terms.
- Prices. Each tool's price in credits is shown before you start it; you are never charged a price you did not see. We may change prices for future use.
- Expiry. Credits you buy never expire, and introducing a subscription or ads will not change that. Promotional or bonus credits we give you for free may come with an expiry date, which the app shows; unused promotional credits are removed when it passes.
- Failed edits. An AI edit holds its price when it starts and is charged only if it succeeds. If it fails, is refused or times out, the credits go back to your balance automatically.
- Refunds and withdrawal. Purchases are made through Google Play, and refunds follow Google Play's refund policies and your rights under consumer law. Credits are digital content supplied as soon as you buy them; where the law gives you a right to withdraw from a purchase, Google Play explains at checkout how it applies. If a purchase is refunded or reversed, the credits it added are removed from your balance.
- Your wallet. Credits are held in a wallet on our server. Once you sign in with Google, the wallet is linked to your Google account: sign in again on another phone, or after reinstalling Sheen, and your credits are there. If you sign out, your credits stay with your Google account and the phone starts a new, empty wallet. Credits on a phone that has not signed in are tied to that app installation: reinstalling Sheen with the same Google account restores them through Google Block Store, and after you clear the app's storage the app reconnects to them on the same phone where it can. If none of this is possible, or if you use Delete my data (which also removes the link to your Google account), unused credits are lost and cannot be recovered or refunded.
05Subscriptions (if we offer them)
Sheen has no subscription today. If we offer one in the future, these rules apply to it, together with any details shown when you subscribe:
- Clear terms first. Before you subscribe, the app and Google Play show the price, the billing period, any free trial or introductory price, and what the subscription includes.
- Billing. Subscriptions are bought and billed through Google Play. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, and you are charged for the next one, until you cancel.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in Google Play (Play Store › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Trials. A free trial or introductory price turns into the regular price at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then, as shown when you start it.
- Price changes. We tell you about a price increase in advance, as Google Play requires, and where needed ask you to accept it; if you don't, the subscription ends at the end of the current period.
- Refunds. Refunds follow Google Play's refund policies and your rights under consumer law.
- What a subscription never does. It never takes away or expires credits you bought, and it never locks AR lenses from Snap's Camera Kit.
06Ads (if we show them)
Sheen shows no ads today. A future version may show ads from advertising partners. If it does, we will describe it in the Privacy Policy before ads start and ask for your consent to personalised ads where the law requires it. Ads never use your photos, the camera image, face data or anything you type. Advertisers are responsible for their ads and for the products and services they promote; your dealings with them are between you and them.
07Your photos and results
You keep all rights to the photos you take and to the results you create with Sheen. When you use a cloud AI tool, you give us a limited, temporary permission to upload, store and process that photo and any text you type, only to make the edit you asked for, and to keep a result you report for review, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use your photos for any other purpose.
08Rules for using Sheen and its AI tools
You are responsible for the photos you upload, the text you type and how you use what you make. Do not use Sheen to:
- upload or edit photos of other people without their consent, or photos you don't have the right to use;
- create sexual content of minors, sexual or intimate images of anyone without their consent, or any sexually explicit content with the AI tools;
- impersonate someone, create deceptive deepfakes, fake identity documents, or images meant to mislead, defame, harass, bully or threaten anyone;
- create content that promotes violence, terrorism, hatred or discrimination, or that is otherwise illegal where you live;
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, personality or other rights.
We automatically check text sent to the AI tools and may refuse a request that breaks these rules; a refused request is not charged. You can report any AI result from the app. We may suspend the AI tools or a wallet that is used to break these rules or the law, and we cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
09AI results
AI results are generated by machine-learning models and can be inaccurate, unexpected or imperfect. Review them before you share them. They may carry an invisible watermark that marks them as made with AI (for example Google's SynthID); don't try to remove it. Where the law or a platform you post to requires AI-generated or edited images to be labelled, labelling them is your responsibility.
10Third-party services
- Google Play handles downloads, payments and refunds under the Google Play Terms of Service.
- Sign in with Google lets you sign in with your Google account under the Google Terms of Service; our Privacy Policy explains what we keep.
- Snap's Camera Kit provides AR lenses. Before you use one, the app shows Snap's terms; by accepting them, your use of those lenses is also governed by Snap's Terms of Service. Snap's lenses belong to Snap or their creators, and are never locked behind a purchase, a subscription or ads in Sheen.
- Google's AI services make the cloud AI edits on our behalf.
We are not responsible for third-party services, which have their own terms.
11Our rights
Sheen, its design, its own filters, lenses, looks and effects, and the Sheen and Aridya names and logos belong to Aridya Technologies or its licensors. These terms don't give you any rights in them except the licence in Section 1.
12Availability and changes
We work to keep Sheen and its services running, but we can't promise they will always be available or error-free. The cloud AI tools in particular may be slow or unavailable at busy times; an edit that cannot be made in time is not charged. We may update, change or discontinue features or services. If we stop offering the cloud AI tools altogether, we will tell you in the app in advance where we reasonably can.
13Disclaimers and limits of liability
Sheen is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not stated in these terms, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data or photos you did not save; and our total liability to you for any claim about Sheen is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law — such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — or takes away your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the consumer laws of the EU, the UK, Australia, India and other countries, which prevail over these terms where they apply.
14Ending these terms
You can stop using Sheen at any time by uninstalling it; use Delete my data first if you want our server to delete what it holds for your wallet, including its link to your Google account, and cancel any subscription in Google Play. We may suspend or end your access to the services if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or the law, or if we must do so to comply with the law. Sections 7 to 15 continue to apply after these terms end.
15Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction over disputes. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, or your right to bring a claim in your local courts. Please contact us first: most problems can be solved quickly.
16Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when Sheen changes — for example when we add a subscription or ads — or when the law requires it. When we make material changes, we update the date above and tell you in the app before they take effect. Changes never apply to purchases you made before them. If you keep using Sheen after the changes take effect, the updated terms apply; if you don't agree, stop using the app.
